As a child I was overweight and struggled with weight throughout my teenage years and into my twenties. I started weight watchers when I was about 20 years old. Chasing a number on the scales led to an eating disorder for most of my 20s and 30s. The eating disorder granted me an autoimmune condition called, hashimotos that began to attack my thyroid. After my father passed away, my body tapped out. I had extreme fatigue and couldn't stay awake through the day. I began to research what was going on with my body. After some testing and blood work, I learned I had hashimostos. Since then I have focused on getting this autoimmune condition in remission and live a life that supports my thyroid health. I have a passion to help others who don't know what to do after learning they also have a thyroid condition.
Learning to add simple changes to your life will begin to change your health. The foundation of good health is whole foods, sleep and managing stress. When we grasp these three things we can begin to focus on the rest!
