Many people think that doing sit-ups and crunches are going to rid them of their belly fat, but it's really all about diet and cardio. Belly fat comes from excess body fat ,not lack of muscle. The best way to reduce belly fat is to reduce your body fat. There's no secret trick or quick fix, it's eating a balanced diet and exercising!
We can sometimes carry extra water weight as well in our belly and that can be avoided by watching your sodium intake. To help reduce the water weight, drink half your body weight in water in ounces a day and reduce your sodium intake to 1500 mg a day.
It all goes back to eating healthy and exercising daily.
