Are you training both physically and spiritually?

I just recently had the pleasure of being prayed for by a group of women who love the Lord with all their hearts and are just real, regular women. Moms, professionals, grandmothers, lovers of Christ. They blessed me and spoke such encouraging words over me that filled me up with HOPE, which by the way means “to expect or anticipate with pleasure" in the Greek! This is exciting to me! It's important to have friends in our life that can pray for us and encourage us when we need it. If you don't have this ask Father to put the right people into your life today.

Be encouraged that exercise or physical training is good and biblical! What is better and pours into your life so much more? Training and daily life with our Father. He is looking to raise us into his disciples for today! Personal relationship with him is much better and PROFITALBLE the word says than exercise. Are you investing in both physical and spiritual training, or just one? Do you want something profitable for your life? I do! Below is what the word says in two translations that I love.

"Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come." 1st Timothy 4:8 NLV

"for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." 1st Timothy 4:8 NAS

So be encouraged that exercise is good and biblical but don't forget about relationship with Him. He is our promise in this life and our future. Use your workout to speak to Him. All he wants is relationship with you. He is your strength, discipline and motivation to exercise.Rest in Him today and just talk to him. Jesus loves you!

If you have questions or would like to discuss this deeper please contact me. I would love to encourage you with truth.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
