Who's calling names now?

Those that didn't know me as a child, don't realize that I had a struggle with weight. It started as a child and went into my early twentys. I was called names and made fun of. My mom always encouraged me and never made me feel bad about myself. She always said "It's just baby fat". I was never taught how to eat healthy. I was free to eat whatever I wanted. It was in my early 20s that I joined Weight Watchers and began to learn about portion sizes. Up until couple of years ago, I still saw the little chubby girl in the mirror.

I started working out about 17 years ago. I began to learn what I enjoyed and God began to grow a passion inside of me for exercise and health. As I learn more and more about myeslf and health, I apply it one day at a time. God is good to not overwhelm us but to give us what we need one day at the time.

Today, at 40 years old, I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I am honored that Father has chosen me to love on others and encourage them right where they are in their journey with health. When Jesus is our I AM we can move the mountain that stands between us and our health.

I don't encourage and discuss health because I've always been thin and loved it. I speak from the heart of a little chubby girl who was made fun of, called names and never felt as pretty as the girl next to me because of my weight. I am free from all of those lies today and want to help women become free from this stuggle that holds so many back.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
