Heart Transformation leads to Behavior Modification

So many strive to change their behavior, but real change comes from the heart. Losing weight or gaining strength isn't about stiving for willpower to overcome but changing your daily behavior. How do we change our daily behavior? Look at your heart.

Are you wanting to have a healthier lifestyle because of what someone said to you, tyring to please a spouse or impress your friends? Change in your behavior will come when your heart is truly in a place of wanting to honor your body. That doesn't mean you won't make mistakes along the way but it does mean that the journey will be easier because when your heart wants something, your behavior will change.

Think about a time in your life when you truly wanted something with all of your heart. The man or woman you loved and wanting to spend the rest of your life with them. What was your behavior? You spent time with them. You loved them in special ways. You looked forward to seeing them. You did things for them because you wanted to. Why? Because your heart was there first then your behavior towards them changed!

Choosing the healthier lifestyle can be difficult sometimes even when your heart wants it but Jesus is your I AM and He is your strength to move forward. Rest in Him and speak truth over your body. That "as He is so are you in this world". It says in this world! When Jesus walked this earth he was the most disciplined man ever. 40 days in the wilderness with no food? That is discipline. So as He is so are you IN THIS WORLD! He is your discipline. He is your strength. Call out the truth over your life. As you begin to rest in the truth of who you are in Christ the "choosing in" factor will be easier because your heart will be in a different place and with that your behavior will change!

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
